4/2/08 - Four Frost Heaves Earn Postseason Recognition
The American Basketball Association today announced that three members of the 2008 ABA Champion Vermont Frost Heaves have been honored as All-ABA, and coach Will Voigt, who led Vermont to its second straight title last weekend, has won Coach of the Year honors for the second year in a row.

Guard Terrance Green was named first team All-ABA, small forward Issa Konare was named second team, and power forward Antonio Burks made the third team.

3/30/08 - Frost Heaves Repeat As ABA Champs
Despite injuries to starters Issa Konare and Brett Gravitt, the Vermont Frost Heaves defeated the San Diego Wildcats 87-84 this evening at the Pavillon de la Jeunesse to win their second consecutive ABA title.

Guard Dwuan Rice was named MVP of the ABA Final 8 Championships after contributing 18 points, six assists, four rebounds and two steals in the final. Rice had also rescued Vermont in Saturday’s semifinal defeat of Texas after Konare went down with lower back spasms.

3/29/08 - Frost Heaves Advance to Sunday's ABA Final
The Vermont Frost Heaves advanced to their second consecutive ABA title game with a 106-100 semifinal defeat of the Texas Tycoons in the Final 8 Championship at the Pavillon de la Jeunesse tonight.

Vermont will play for the ABA title tomorrow at 4 p.m. against the San Diego Wildcats, which defeated the Manchester Millrats in tonight’s other semifinal. Tickets will be available at the door.

3/27/08 - Frost Heaves Roll Into Semis
The Vermont Frost Heaves used consecutive three-point baskets from All-Star Antonio Burks to build a 9-2 lead and never looked back in a 118-93 quarterfinal defeat of the San Francisco Rumble in the ABA Final 8 Championship at the Pavillon de la Jeunesse.

Burks, a member of last season’s ABA Champion Frost Heaves, finished with 25 points, including 7 of 9 from beyond the arc. Issa Konare added 22 points and 10 rebounds, while Dwayne Lee scored 13 and B.J. Robertson, Markus Austin and Dokun Akingbade each chipped in 11.

Forward Issa Konare scored a four-point play on a 3-D layup and a free throw to break a 95-95 tie in the final minute and power the Vermont Frost Heaves to a 106-97 defeat of the Atlanta Vision at the Barre Auditorium on Wednesday night.
